On Saturday, August 23rd, 2008, we were proud to host the celebration
of Victoria’s rich maritime history commemorating Ogden
Point.
The event was a family affair and featured an evening of informative
presentations, music, food, and fireworks to commemorate the history
of Ogden Point and upgrades to the terminal in conjunction with the arrival
of the 150th cruise ship and BC 150. Over 30 arts & crafts
vendors participated in the Night Market and volunteers provided
tours of the
new murals, three of which are shown here, Westcan, King Brothers and Victoria AM, recently added to the Terminal
Building.
The evening was presented
by the Ogden Point Enhancement Society, Victoria A.M. Association, the
Greater Victoria Harbour Authority, King Bros. Limited, and Western Stevedoring.
Thanks to all who attended for making the evening such a success.
